Nail Art Trend

In the past 2011, it is a suprising year for the nailartlover! Yeah, as everyone know, there is new nail art trend beside the acrylic one. Everyone loves it, even celebrities wore it.

What make the new nail art trend become so famed by all over world? Of course first , it is so EASY to create them, you dont need to go to the expert one and dont need to spend so much money. All u need to do is DIY ! Buy the polish and get the design! Most importantly, it is QUICK but yet got the UNIQUE pattern

Furthermore, sometime acrylic nails are not really wearable for normal days, especially when you need to do some chores, it absolutely kinda annoying! But i believe, in some special occasion days, girls will stillprefer acrylic nails cause they are also damn gorgeous !

so here are some nail art trends :

1. Shatter/Cracked Polish

Yeah, this must be the one which stir the nail art trend all over the year. And this is how the application does it : first, apply any color you want to be the base color, when it is dry, then using the Shatter polish to cover the first layer. and the Shatter polish will automatically do the design for you. By the time it is dry, the nail polish will crack itself and form an unique design. Believe it or not? When it launched at Singapore, within few months it was out of stock!

2. Minx Nails

As i have blogged before, the quickest way to enhance your nails is with nail art sticker. And yeah, now we got the Minx Nails, it is a pattern foil sticker which can cover all over your nails. All you need to do is : stick it and file it then you are done ! You dont need wait it to completely dry . It provides wide range of designs (animal print, flower print ,.. etc) which  you dont need to take your time on the nail art tools. They got the very unique metalic color which i prefer most, like gold and silver. Lots of celebrities love it, like KatyPerry, LadyGaga and Rihanna

3. Magnetic Nails

Maybe you have not heard it, but believe me, it will gonna be hotter and hotter! What you gonna do is : apply a coat of the magnetic polish, before it is dry, hold the top of the bottle bring it close to your nail without actually touching it about few seconds and you are done! The polish itself contains some tiny magnetized particles in it. So when you bring it close to the magnet, it will create a beautiful and unique pattern. So what you are waiting about? Go to your neares drugstore and get the polish!

Valentine Ideas

(i know valentine had passed, this post should be posted on the Vday, but i have some problems with the editing&uploading video, so hope u guys enjoy! and it also can be the birthday gift, anniversary ideas or it can be gift back for White Day ! haha :D )

as u watch, it is my valentine gift for him :)

at the first i want to make a pop up card with this template

so cute right? when u open it, the couple will kiss together!

i saw it at youtube and found the website

at the second, suddenly i remind i have ever seen xiaxue's guide to life video and it is about gift wrapping, and there was an popupcard! and xiaxue write the link at her video which is www.robertsabuda.com

so, this is how i made the popupcards, i am not the professional one, i dont the exact way to do it, i just do my way, so if i have made wrong u can correct me :)

first, print out the template on the cardstock

i use the greyish silver metalic one for the base colour, the colour is really stunning, 

butt.. cuz my camera .... haiiis... forget it! the inside i want it to be a starry look, thats why i using the greyish silver metalic card stock and the glittering dust

then, cut it out

quite cute yey?? looks like a skeleton to,hahahhaa

i bought 6 jars of the glitter dust, i  got the red,silver,gold,blue,purple, and green for about Rp 25.000,- and it is quite cheap !

so i worked on half heart first, i used another paper to cover the small heart 

and i worked on a paper,  so u can pour back the excess dust, dont waste it ! and it is more easier to clean up 

this is the final look, and i decided to glue the silver dust on the 2 small hearts :) 

*note* : i use a liquid glue for the red heart,  i tried double-taped on the small heart and it is more convenient n nicer, cuz when it hasnt dry at all  ,in case if u scratch on the heart , the dust will fall out and u must fill up the gap again and it is annoying !!!

moreover using the double-taped ,the dust will spread evenly, but one of the weakness is the shape of double-taped is rectangle, and heart shape is an irregular shape, so u must to adjust it to a heart shape

so move on to the outside design of the card, while the outside i want it to be romantic

umm.. i dont know do u think it is romantic or not! hahah forget it

(sorry that i didnt take the picture of these few steps)

so i used a lace, at the first i just use double-taped but it found it is not really secure, so i sewed it with black thread

the lamp is inspired from beauty department, actually it is a nail design but i used on the popupcard :)

first, draw a the line with pencil

then i pour a liquid glue on a paper, use a run-out ink pen, dipped on the glue, and follow the line that u drew before

then with the black thread, slowly glue it on the line that u have drawn before

so u got it as a cable!

with the gold and silver pen draw the lamp, of course u can try with another colours!

and i decided to add the red heart sticker so it wont be boring !

while the back..

 and the remain of the lace, it glue it to the back, i used a thin double-taped, stick to it and  there are gaps on the lace, so i pour some silver dust, can u see it? i love this detail most!

and i added the mushroom sticker to the center of the below part of the card :)

and did u see the round corner?

i didnt use a punch to create it cause i dont own it and it is so unneeded to buy one so here is my trick :

yes, just find around your house, i use a file clip which got the round corner

anything which has the round corner u can use it !

so u just need to adjust it to the corner, use a pencil to draw the rounded corner and then u just cut it out !

here is the final result of my popupcard :)

btw, there are so many gaps >,<
